Kitchen appliances and gadgets

The kitchen has often been called “the heart of the home”—but why can’t it be the brains, too? The Internet of Things is making possible a new wave of smart kitchen gadgets, from sensors that know when the stove has been left on to forks that remind us to slow down and savor each bite. Here’s a roundup of IoT products that are changing the way we order, store, cook and consume food in our homes.

  1. Smart Refrigerator:

A refrigerator that is exposed as an IoT object and interacts with the items stored within, gathers information about them, process this information into relevant data that is later conveyed through an IoT platform to its owners, in other words, a smart refrigerator.

4. Automatic Hand Soap Dispenser:

Automatic soap dispensers (also known as touchless or no-touch soap dispensers) dispense a controlled amount of soap solution (or a similar liquid such as a hand sanitizer). They are often used in conjunction with automatic faucets in public restrooms. They function to conserve the amount of soap used and stem infectious disease transmission.

No need to touch the soap bottle ever again: Just put your hand under the sensor and this handy gadget dispenses the soap for you. It may not require an internet connection, but it will prevent bacteria from spreading all over your kitchen.
